Constellium to purchase UACJ’s Stake in Auto Body Sheet Joint Venture in Bowling Green, Kentucky

Constellium N.V. (CSTM) announced today that it entered into a binding purchase agreement with UACJ Corporation and its U.S. subsidiary, Tri-Arrows Aluminum Holding Inc. (TAAH), to acquire TAAH’s 49% stake in Constellium-UACJ ABS, LLC (CUA), for $100 million plus the assumption of 49% of approximately $80 million of third party debt at CUA. As part of this agreement, Constellium contracted with TAAH for the supply of cold coils from its Logan plant in Kentucky for up to five years.

Constellium N.V. (CSTM) announced today that it supplies aluminium automotive body sheets for the new Audi A6. Constellium is the primary supplier of automotive body sheets for both closures and inner parts of this model. Constellium produces components for its partner Audi to achieve its lightweighting, design and safety targets.

Tariffs stemming from President Trump's trade conflicts could cost Americans $915 each, or $2,400 per household, in the form of higher prices, lower wages and lower investment returns in 2019, according to a new study. The study, commissioned by the lobbying shop for Koch Industries and conducted by consulting firm ImpactECON, looked at the potential cumulative impact of tariffs. The conservative Koch political network has argued against the Trump administration's protectionist trade policies.
